Hollow Knighttakes players on a 2D quest beneath the depths of the town of Dirthmouth where they’ll battle the forces of evil as a knight of good. The goal is to solve a long-hidden mystery, but they’ll have to fight their way out of traps, battle with tainted creatures, and explore intricate caverns to do it.

Throughout the landscape of Hallownest, players will find benches. These benches are key checkpoints inHollow Knightthat allow players to create a respawn spot should they die or quit the game, replenish all health, andequip or unequip Charms. It is critical to know the locations of benches should players be low on health or need to end their gameplay.

13Dirtmouth

There is only one bench located in Dirtmouth, and it is thefirst one players will interactwith in the game. Players will need to make their way through King’s Pass before they come across this bench.

Right before they see the bench, they’ll come across an NPC named Elderbug. They can interact with him if they choose to before moving on to the bench.

12The Forgotten Crossroads

The Forgotten Crossroads has three benches players can use to their advantage. Some of these locations are key areas players will need to visit for important game elements, such as fast travel and spells.

11Greenpath

Greenpath has six total bench locations, with some being a lot easier to find than others. Players will have to be careful navigating to some of these as they are in precarious situations with many enemies flying around.

10Fog Canyon

Fog Canyon has two benches for players to use. It’s also a great stopping point to save and replenish health after the trials of Greenpath.

9Fungal Wastes

Fungal Wastes features three benches and some interesting NPCs. Players will want to explore the area thoroughly to make the most out of it. They can also create a shortcut to the Queen’s Station.

8City Of Tears

The City of Tears area has four benches. Two of them are located right next to NPCs that players can interact with, one of which is Cornifer, who they’ll want to buy the area map from.

7Crystal Peak

Crystal Peak features two benches. Players can make their access to these benches easier by creating shortcuts throughout the area. One of them doesn’t come without a fight, as a boss sits on the bench waiting for players to arrive for a battle.

6Resting Grounds

The Resting Grounds features one bench. It’s at a key location where players will begin one of the most challenging side quests in the game.

Players can find this bench by starting in the room with a chest that gives Geo and has both a breakable wall and ceiling. They’ll need to break the ceiling and proceed up, walk left, then go up once again. Next, they’ll need to head right, where they’ll find a massive structure with a bench next to it.

5Royal Waterways

The Royal Waterways features one bench that’s easy to find as it has signs pointing the way. It’s located near the start of the area.

Players must follow the signs down the path until they reach the bench. Their path throughout this area will lead them repeatedly back to this same bench for plenty of opportunities to save and heal.

4Ancient Basin

The Ancient Basin features two of the game’s benches. They’re relatively easy to find, and players can make a shortcut to the first one, making trips back and forth to it much easier.
