Players may have seen Jobberknolls flying around large trees during their exploration inHogwarts Legacy, or they may remember them from the quest titled “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom,” in which Deek teaches the player how to use the Nab-sack to rescue Magical Beasts. to find and rescue more of these bird-like beasts, players will need to locate Jobberknoll Dens found allthroughout the Scottish Highlands around Hogwarts. Once players know where to look, they should have no problem finding Jobberknolls of varying colors and genders to keep in the Vivarium or even to sell at the Brood and Peck.
Jobberknolls are described as “small speckled bluebirds,” but they come in many different colors inHogwarts Legacy. Notably, Jobberknolls do not make a single sound throughout their entire life, only making noise at the moment of their death. It’s said that at this time they let out a long scream consisting of every sound they have ever heard.

Where to Find Jobberknoll Dens
To find any den, simply comb the world map for a symbol that looks like a Beast’s paw and hover over it to find what kind of Magical Beast lives there. The closest Jobberknoll Den is just northwest of Hogwarts, by the large tree that players visited during “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom” (though it’s worth noting this one doesn’t appear on the map for some reason).
Altogether, there are six Jobberknoll DensinHogwarts Legacy, two of which are north of Hogwarts, one is south of Hogwarts between the South Sea Bog and the Feldcroft Region, and the other three are all far to the southeast between Marunweem Lake and Clagmar Coast.

Rescuing Jobberknolls and Getting Jobberknoll Feathers
Rescuing Jobberknolls presents an interesting challenge since the creatures fly. Thankfully, players only need to press the rescue button twice when using the Nab-sack, but it can still be difficult if they manage to fly out of range.Using Levioso or Arresto Momentumis a great way to slow them down. Players can also rescue a shiny Jobberknoll, denoted by the star next to the gender marker, which are light grey with white dots. Feeding and brushing a Jobberknoll gives players five Jobberknoll feathers.
If players rescue too many Jobberknolls during their search and run out of inventory space, it’s always an option to release them to the wild from the inventory menu. Alternatively, they can also be sold to Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade for 120 Galleons each. Finally, the Jobberknoll, much likeHogwarts Legacy’s Phoenixand Fwooper, loves to play with Quaffles from the Toy Chest.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One ports are scheduled to release on April 4, and the Nintendo Switch version will arrive August 05, 2025.
