In this day and age, most would be hard-pressed to find a gaming enthusiast who isn’t excited for the release ofHalo Infinite. It’s the firstHalogame to be released in five years and promises to be extremely impactful. Now, thanks to information provided by an inside source,Halo Infiniteappears to be everything people have been expecting and more.

However, thanks to additional information provided by the members of the Real Deal Xbox Podcast, it seems more likely thatHalo Infinitewill deliver on everything the developers have been saying. They go on to describeHalo Infiniteas a “juggernaut.” However, a rather interesting comparison was made during the podcast.

According to the host of the podcast, there appears to be a similarity betweenHalo InfiniteandGod of War, weirdly enough. The podcast host could not go into further detail, but it’s still a rather strange comparison to say the least. On the outset,God of WarandHalocould not be more different in terms of both genre and gameplay

However, in a weird way, it does seem to be an apt comparison. WhenGod of Warfor the PS4 was first released,it reinvented the entire franchise, broke boundaries, and innovated upon the games that came before it in nearly every aspect. Thus, it might be implied thatHalo Infiniteis set to succeed in the exact same regard asGod of War.

Having said all this, fans would be right to take all of this information with a grain of salt. No matter how muchHalo Infinitehas been hyped up, Microsoft and 343 Industries have yet to show fans anything of substance regarding the game, to the point where fans are finding out information about the game vicariously throughFunko Pops. All of this to say, fans should not be excited about the game through hearsay and faith alone. At some point, the game needs to speak for itself.
