Being the main character allows the Traveler to switch between all of Teyvat’s Elements inGenshin Impact. When visiting Statues of the Seven inGenshin Impact, you have the opportunity to switch the Traveler’s Elements. To do this, simply visit one of the Statues of the region featuring the Element you desire.
Unfortunately, most of these Elements are underwhelming and don’t offer anything for their team. However, with some proper builds, you can let your Traveler shine with the desired Element.

That also affects their role during combat, giving each Element its own build. After acquiring many new Elements, the Traveler finally gets their hands on the Pyro Element. Of course, a new Element means a newPyro Traveler build in Genshin Impact, which means more artifacts and weapons to work with. This guide will be updated to include thebest Pyro Traveler build in Genshin Impact.
Most of the Anemo Traveler’s mechanics revolve around casting their Elemental Skill and Burst. Moreover, if you build your Anemo Traveler with4pc of Viridescent Venerer, it will take advantage of the Anemo supportive capabilities through everySwirl reaction inGenshin Impact. For this reason, you want to focus on using the Traveler as an Anemo Support to deal Anemo DMG and trigger the Swirl Reaction as often as possible. The Anemo Traveler doesn’t need fancy stats like ATK or the Critical ones. All they need is Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge.
As for the best 5-Star weapon, opt forFreedom-Swornas it increases the Anemo Traveler’s Elemental Mastery and fully unlocks their status as a Support by increasing their entire team attack and Normal, Charged, and Plunging DMG. Alternatively,Key of Khaj-NisutandSkyward Bladeare also viable. For F2P, go forSacrificial Sword,Festering Desire, orFavonius Swordas they increase the Anemo Traveler’s Energy Recharge and help them cast their Elemental Burst more often.
Geo Traveler can be a decent Sub-DPS if they get their hands on the right build. Their playstyle changes the shape of the battlefield as they spam their Geo constructions. As a Sub-DPS, the Geo Traveler will barely spend time on the field, so it’s better to equip a set that buffs their team.4pc of Noblesse Obligeand4pc of Archaic Petraare the best options for applying this kind of buff. Noblesse comes first as it’s a simple addition of 20% ATK whenever the Traveler uses their Burst.
As for weapons, the Geo Traveler’sbest 5-star weapon inGenshin ImpactisMistsplitter ReforgedandPrimordial Jade Cutterbecause of the amount of Critical and ATK the weapon gives. the best F2P sword for the Geo unit isFleuve Cendre Ferrymansince it buffs their Elemental Skill and gives them Energy Recharge for their Elemental Burst.
Electro Traveler is one of the best batteries inGenshin Impact, but that isn’t all that the Electro Unit can do. They can be a really good trigger forHyperbloom teams inGenshin Impact. Since the amount of regeneration the Traveler grants scales with Energy Recharge, you should build the Electro Traveler to have as much Energy Recharge as possible.
If you want the Electro Traveler to play the role of abattery inGenshin Impact, all you have to do is give them4pc of Emblem of Severed FateandFavonius Sword. Both Emblem and Favonius are easy to get, on top of maximizing the Energy regeneration the Electro Traveler can offer for their team. However, adding some Elemental Mastery while building the Electro Traveler on4pc of Flower of Paradise Lostwill allow them to be part of Hyperbloom teams on top of greatly regenerating their team’s energy.
Surprisingly, Dendro is one of the best Elements for the Traveler inGenshin Impact. It even has a decent build that can help their team deal a lot of damage throughDendro reactions inGenshin Impact. The Dendro Traveler also has a good Dendro application through their Elemental Burst, which helps them take advantage of the effect of the4pc of Deepwood Memories. With that set, the Dendro Traveler can keep shredding enemies’ Dendro resistance and help their team deal more Dendro DMG.
The Dendro Traveler’s scaling is decent enough for them tooperate as a Sub-DPS inGenshin Impact. For that, giving them Elemental Mastery, Dendro DMG, and Crit items is viable for their build. However, they still lean more into the supportive role, so giving them weapons likeFreedom-SwornandXiphos' Moonlightis more helpful to the team.
It’s much better to not build the Hydro Traveler at all as HoYo is definitely trolling with their kit. However, if you’re crazy enough to invest in them, then give the Hydro Traveler 2pc of one of these three artifact sets:Nymph’s Dream,Heart of Depth, orGolden Troupe. They barely operate with any artifact set, so just go for 2pc to give them 30% Hydro DMG.
Since the Hydro Traveler doesn’t offer anything but DPS, give them weapons that can raise their DMG like the Splendor of Tranquil Waters and Primordial Jade Cutter. These weapons will increase their HP as they grant them someCrit stats inGenshin Impact.
The Pyro Traveler is a versatile unit that can operate as both on-field and off-field DPS. Before getting their C6, the Pyro Traveler operates purely as an off-field Sub-DPS who gets on the field to enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and starts dealing off-field Pyro DMG. If you’re playing them like that, build the Pyro Traveler with 4pc of Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City to maximize their off-field presence by buffing their team.
After getting their C6, they’ll transform into a strong main Pyro DPS who can carry their team’s DMG. For that, the Pyro Traveler needsanother build inGenshin Impact. Build the Pyro Traveler with 4pc of Obsidian Codex to maximize their Crit Rate. This gives you the freedom to build the Pyro Traveler with a lot of Crit DMG through their weapons and Circlet.
The best weapons for the Pyro Traveler are the ones that increase their Crit DMG, likeMistsplitter Reforged,Splendor of Tranquil Waters, andLight of Foliar Incision. For off-field Pyro Traveler, go for some F2P options like Festering Desire, which works perfectly with Sword units that depend on theirElemental Skill and Burst inGenshin Impact.
