Mycological Investigation in The Chasm is one of three quests given to players by Khedive inGenshin Impact. The Sumeru researcher is conducting an investigation of the Underground Chasm, where he forms a team of Chasm explorers. It is said that he paid for the entire mission from his own pocket. This, combined with the advantage Liyue will gain from his research, clears the access for Khedive to do his study.
While exploring the Underground Chasm, Travelers will meet a cartographer, Zhiqiong. This adventurer will be a crucial piece in the exploration, as she’s the one that draws the layout of the Mining Area. However,to complete the map of theGenshin ImpactChasm, players have to follow through with theChasmDelversWorld Quest. This mission requires people to visit different areas of the Underground Chasm. At one point, players will come across a Starshroom, an edible item that has similar effects to Sunsettias and Apples. A Starshroom is also required to start the Mycological Investigation in The Chasm Quest inGenshin Impact.

Mycological Investigation in The Chasm Genshin Impact Quest
To start the Mycological Investigation in The Chasm Quest inGenshin Impact, players need to collect at least one Starshroom. Afterward, they should talk to Khedive in the explorer encampment and choose the “So, about these mushrooms…” option.
Khedive will ask the Travelers to bring himeight Starshrooms. Once players collect the required amount, they should talk to the researcher again and pick the “Here’re the mushrooms you asked for.” option.
For collecting eight Starshrooms in the Mycological Investigation in The Chasm Quest, players will be rewarded with the following rewards:
This Sumeru researcher has three investigation quests in The Chasm. One involvestaking pictures of fiveGenshin ImpactAncient Fossils, while the other requires people to fish a Strange Object from the west side of the Underground Waterway. Helping Khedive with all three World Quests grants players the “Of the Human Heart Many Essays Written” Achievement/Trophy. The researcher will also hand them an Academia Recommendation Letter.
Where To Find Starshrooms In Genshin Impact
To find Starshrooms in the Underground Chasm, Travelers should go to the Underground Waterway. There’s a large log in the area whereplayers can findGenshin Impact’s, Uncle HeNPC. For those having trouble finding it, the area is also filled withFloating Hydro Fungus.
The next area where Starshrooms thrive is inThe Glowing Narrows. Travelers can collect a lot of the fungus here, and they can even find a giant glowing mushroom, Xamaran.Xamaran has a series ofGenshin Impactqueststhat players can help out with. After finishing theDimming Mushroom’s Call for Helpquest, players will earn the “The Mushroom That Asks Too Much” Achievement/Trophy.
