With a new area inGenshin Impactcomes new places to explore and characters to meet. One mysteriousnew character inGenshin Impact,a ghost named Ema, asks players to help them find some of the lost books in the Enkanomiya region.
This mission is part of the Collection of Dragons and Snakesquest inGenshin Impact,which can be started in one of the buildings towards the bottom of “The Narrows.” The lost books Ema needs gamers to find consist of; Before Sun and Moon, The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku, In the Light Beneath the Shadow, Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku, and some experimental records.

Unfortunately, the ghost doesn’t give specific details for finding the books. So forGenshin Impactfans needing help tracking these down, here is how tocomplete the Collection of Dragons and Snakes.
Book 1
The first book can be found by fast traveling to the waypoint in the top right corner of Evernight Temple. From there, immediately jump down and activate the switch to change the game to Whitenight. Then, hit the nearby left switch once and hit the one on the right immediately after. Once that is done, change the game back to Evernight; theEvernight Temple Wall Mazeshould look like this.
After that, go through the maze with ahydro character inGenshin Impactand activate the four yellow glowing pillars with any water attack. This should start a cutscene of a gate opening-up; jump down there once this is over and open the Luxurious chest. Next, talk to the ghost nearby named Date to start another quest to find his other Metal of Recognition. Gamers can find this by traveling to The Serpent’s Heart waypoint on the right-hand island.
Go around the side of the cliff and through the doorway with two lamps next to it. There should be another metal gate on the ground that can be activated with Date’s Key.
Open the grate and jump down to start another puzzle. Players need to move the walls to the opposite spot across the room. To do this, hit the switch to change the game to Whitenight and raise the metal gates. After that, hit the triangle mechanism that’s on the right-hand side facing away from the Whitenight switch twice. Hit the one on the other side, lower the switch, and attack the other mechanism once. If done correctly, this should spawn a luxurious chest once fans switch back to Evernight.
Go back and talk to Date. Then, go down the stairs next to him to open up the secret room. The Exquisite Chest inside will have the first book gamers need.
Book 2
The second book can be found by traveling to the bottom waypoint in Dainichi Mikoshi. Go to the side and glide along the side of the island until players see two ghosts with exclamation marks over their heads. Talk to both ghosts to activate the next mission phase to find the spirit named Antei.
Travel to the tiny island south of The Serpent’s Heart. Antei will be standing near some rocks with multiple white candles lit on top of them. After talking to him, grab the Ruin Machine Core and travel down to find the abandoned Ruined Guard, which is right next to a nearby tree. Fight the Ruin Guard, and players will be able to pick up the second book where it was sitting.
Book 3
The third book can be found by traveling to the northern part of Dainkishi Mikoshi. Gamers will need to glide north to the nearest floating island and use the phase gate that is there. This should take them to “Vishap Research Lab,” go around the corner and talk to the ghost who will instruct players to find the experimental records at the nearby site.
Activate the pillars with cryo, hydro, andelectro characters inGenshin Impactto open the gate and defeat the hidden enemy. After the cryo enemy is defeated, the book can be found inside its room.
Book 4
The fourth book can be found by traveling to the center waypoint in Dainichi Mikoshi and heading south. There should be a secret opening in a wall that can be opened with an explosive barrel next to a Ruined Guard. Go inside and hit the triangular mechanism on the right.
Then, go outside and south to the nearby switch and change the game to Whitenight. Go back into the opening and hit the other triangular switch directly in front of fans. Switch back to Evernight, go back inside, and head towards the Exquisite Chest inside. Pay attention to the symbols on the wall, and then head west to solve theSecret Message in the Serpent’s Heartby following the order of the symbols. When done correctly, this will spawn a common chest that has the fourth book inside.
Book 5
The last book can be found back inthe Inazuma regionand talk to Kuroda at the publishing house. After that, gamers should buy the fifth book, “The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku,” from him for 1500.
