With the region of Sumeru on the way inGenshin Impact, the community is excited to see how the upcoming Dendro characters might change the meta. There are also plenty of recent leaks that give players a pretty good idea of what to expect. So far, the most salient leaks involve the map size of Sumeru, the upcoming characters, and when they’ll be available for Wishing.
That said, it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt. There’s no guarantee that these leaks are accurate, so players should control their expectations for the upcomingGenshin Impactupdates.

Genshin Impact Sumeru Map Leak
First is theSumeru region’s placement within theGenshin Impactmap. Interestingly enough, there are two recent leaks concerning this. The first leak showcases the new areas of the map that will open up afterGenshin ImpactVersion 3.0 and subsequent updates. One area spans to the west of Inazuma, extending from the landmass of Liyue and the Chasm. The other area is directly east of Mondstadt, located far beyond the ocean and even past Musk Reef. However, the latter could just be more ocean, according to leaker genshinBLANK.
Meanwhile, the second leak displays an image of a Sumeru map superimposed onto the greater map of Teyvat. This is probably only one part of the Sumeru region, and the updates following 3.0 will be adding to it. Drawing on information aboutSumeru inGenshin Impact, the area will have a forest region and a desert region, so these will likely come out in subsequent updates.

Overall, players are excited for the Sumeru region. Basing its size on the second leak, it’s bigger than Liyue during its initial release. Players are also excited about a change in climate and environment. There’s already talk of hostile rainforest environments that drain the player’s health over time. But that’s it for the Sumeru map — at least, for now. If anything, the community is far more excited about theupcoming Dendro characters inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Character Leaks
Next are theGenshin Impactcharacter leaks. There’s already a handful of them circulating online. Some have even had their splash art leaked. But, generally, theupcoming characters forGenshin Impact3.0onwards are Dendro users, with a few exceptions.
Kusanali, the Dendro Archon– According to leakers, theGenshin ImpactDendro ArchonKusanali has a Short Female character model, like Diona and Klee. Her design is said to be similar to Paimon’s but with a green and brown color palette fitting of Sumeru. There have been rumors that she’ll be similar to or based off Theresa Apocalypse ofHonkai Impact. However, the leakers were quick to deny this, saying that Kusanali doesn’t look like Theresa at all. Finally, she’ll obviously be a 5-Star Dendro user, but it’s unclear what her weapon will be.
Collei– Plenty of players already knowCollei from theGenshin Impactmanga, but now, she’s one of the upcoming 4-Star characters with leaked splash art. Given how much she looks up to Amber, their kits are reportedly quite similar. For one, Collei wields a bow and is described as a “Forest Ranger in training.” Her splash art also showcases a hooded catlike mascot, which supposedly comes into play with her Elemental Burst. Meanwhile, her Elemental Skill has her throwing a boomerang that deals Dendro damage. Even her passive ability is suggested to be the same as Amber’s — decreased gliding stamina cost for a player’s entire party.
Tighnari–Tighnari ofGenshin Impactis another Dendro bow user with a Short Male model, like Kazuha and Chongyun. Leakers also say he’s a 5-Star with a “big ol poofy tail.” Not much is known about his kit, but his Elemental Skill emphasizes charged shots. When triggered, Tighnari deals ranged AoE Dendro damage that puts enemies into a “state of chaos.” This then reduces the build-up time for his Charged Attacks. This lasts for the duration of the Elemental Skill or until Tighnari fires three Charged Attacks.
Dori– Dori is another Short Female character with a design somewhat similar to Diona’s. She’s supposedly a 4-Star Electro claymore user and seems to have some potential as a sub-DPS. This is because her Elemental Skill has her throw down a turret that shoots Electro bullets, similar to Fischl and Oz.
Cyno– Cyno’s a unique case as HoYoverse has already released official art of his character (around the 1:50 minute mark in the video above), but heisn’t a playableGenshin Impactcharacter yet. There’s no news on whether he’ll be a 4- or a 5-Star, but leakers say he’s an Electro polearm user. Additionally, his design differs significantly from the other Dendro characters, so he might be based in the desert region of Sumeru.
Nilou– Nilou is another unique case as she doesn’t have any leaked concept art to go on. However, leakers describe her as having the Tall Female model, with long, red hair and horns. Her design is that of a dancer. As for her kit, she’ll be a Hydro user that jives well with Dendro characters. However, her weapon is yet unknown.
Scaramouche– Finally, there’s thehinted release of Scaramouche ofGenshin Impact, one of the Eleven Harbingers and earliest known antagonists. Very little is known about his kit, but players theorize that he’ll become playable sometime after the 3.0 update. That said, his potential Vision and weapon are still unclear.
Aside from these named characters, there are also leaks concerning a Tall Female Pyro user with cat ears, a Tall Female Hydro user with Egyptian elements to her design, and a possible playable character based on SU ofHonkai Impact.
Genshin Impact Banner Schedule Leak
Last but not least is the leak detailing the upcoming Limited-time Wish Banners. According to the Reddit post above,Genshin Impact2.8 will feature rerunsof Kazuha, Klee, and Yoimiya. After, versions 3.0 onwards will be introducing the new Dendro characters. Scaramouche is estimated to become available by version 3.2. As always, remember that these estimations aren’t set in stone and could change upon the official release of subsequentGenshin Impactupdates.
Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
