The news ofFinal Fantasy 14’s latest promotion arrived at a busy time for Square Enix. The final week of June will seeFinal Fantasy 14enter a 48-hour maintenance window ahead ofDawntrailearly access, in which the game will not be playable.Final Fantasy 14producer and director Naoki Yoshida stated that the long maintenance period was done togive players time to download the expansion’s massive files. PC players will require at least 55GB of additional storage space to download and playDawntrail, with console players requiring 75 GB to 100 GB of total storage space, depending on the platform.

Once the early access period forDawntrailends,Final Fantasy 14players will have a new way to mark the expansion’s full launch. According to aLodestone post by Square Enix,Final Fantasy 14and Twitch will hold a Viewer Rewards Campaign starting Tuesday, July 2, at 4:00 AM Eastern, and ending Monday, July 29, at 4:00 AM Eastern. The start of theFF14Twitch campaign will be on the same day as the expansion’s full release, and all the rewards will make it easier for players toexperience the main story ofDawntrail.Final Fantasy 14players who watch at least six hours of live content from participating Twitch streams under theFinal Fantasy 14category will receive a code for the rare Chocorpokkur mount.

Final Fantasy 14 x Twitch Crossover Event Details

The Chocorpokkur mount was previously available in 2021 as part of acollaboration betweenFinal Fantasy 14and Butterfinger, making it an elusive target for mount collectors. In addition to the mount, players who watch one hour ofFinal Fantasy 14streams on Twitch will get an EXP Boost Meal Set, consisting of ten buttery Mogbiscuits and Fat Choco Chocos. Watching three hours of participating Twitch streams will net players ten Aetheryte Tickets, which can be used on free Teleports to specific in-game locations. However,FF14content watched before July 2 will not count toward the rewards.

Final Fantasy 14players must log into the Mog Station to redeem the codes that grant these items. Considering howrare the Chocorpokkur mount is to obtain,Final Fantasy 14players will not want to miss out on the upcoming Twitch promotion.
