WhileFinal Fantasy 14is an MMO that puts emphasis on many different game modes and ways to play with friends, gearing up and getting the best equipment possible is still a goal that most players strive to accomplish. Ever sinceEndwalker’sfirst major content patchopened the doors to the expansion’s alliance raid, catching up with savage raiders has become straightforward and easy – namely, through Radiant Twine.

What Radiant Twine Is And Where To Obtain It

Radiant Twine is a token used to upgrade Radiant Host armor bought forTomestones of Astronomy in Radz-at-Han, unlocked after completing the main scenario quests ofEndwalker. Radiant Host gear starts out at an item level of 590, and can be upgraded using Radiant Twine to item level 600, making it comparable to the strength of gear obtained from the latest Savage Raid.

There are three options forFinal Fantasy 14playersto get their hands on Radiant Twine. One is by trading in tomes at Radz-at-Han from the third boss of Asphodelos on Savage difficulty. They are guaranteed per player on a successful kill, and used to be the main source of upgrading Radiant Host gear prior to Newfound Adventure.

With Newfound Adventure, a far easier yet limited method of catching up exists through Aglaia Coins, obtained by finishing the new Alliance raid using the Duty Finder.

Like tomes, they are also guaranteed – however, they can only be gained once per week. Players can trade their Aglaia Coins at Radz-at-Han for Radiant Twine (used in upgrading armor) or Radiant Coating (used in upgrading accessories).

The third means of obtaining Radiant Twine is by trading in 3,000 Sacks of Nuts at Radz-at-Han, a method that is unlocked after completingElite Marks for the Hunt inEndwalker.

On paper, it is the slowest way to obtain Radiant Twine, and trying to grind it would likely result in the player burning out. Nonetheless, obtaining Sacks of Nuts is easy enough to do when players roam the zones around with their friends, which makes it a good passive source of getting one’s hands on Radiant Twine.

Where To Trade For Radiant Twine

The NPCs that trade these currencies for Radiant Twine are all found in the same alley of Radz-at-Han, marked on the picture. Wilmetta trades Sacks of Nuts; Djole trades Asphodelos Mythos III books; while Nesvaaz trades Aglaia Coins.

While Radiant Twine and Radiant Coating allow players to upgrade their armor and accessories, Radiant weapon upgrades are still locked behind Savage progress, as the only means to obtain Radiant Roborant is by trading in Asphodelos Mythos IV books, obtained from thelast boss ofEndwalker’snormal raidon Savage difficulty.

Final Fantasy 14is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
