Star Wars day may be over, but the celebration of the franchise goes all month long for many. Just in the immediate future, the firsttwo episodes ofObi-Wan Kenobirelease on May 27, and the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California takes place from May 26 to May 29. It is there that EA is expected to revealStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2to the world.

Many fans are eagerly awaiting both, and it seems like it’ll be a busy way to end the month. Nothing is officially known aboutStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, whileObi-Wan Kenobiis set ten years afterRevenge of the Sith. This crudely putsObi-Wan Kenobiin the same time frame as theFallen Orderseries, and during a recent interview, it’s possible Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor suggested that this isn’t overlooked.

Ewan McGregor recently appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show, virtual, where the host interviewed him on a variety of topics (as reported by IGN). Ewan McGregor praised Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow, stating she really knew her stuff when it comes to all theStar Warsuniverse multimedia, including video games. He would go on to say that alltheStar Warsstorylineshave to match up and adds that there can’t be “some fact in a video game that doesn’t match up with the movie.”

It’s no secret thatJedi: Fallen Orderprotagonist Cal Kestisand Obi-Wan Kenobi face the same enemy: Darth Vader and his Inquisitors. Both Jedi are being hunted, and both are set in the same timeframe. A connection between the two seems obvious, and it’s perhaps easiest with the Inquisitors. At the same time, perhaps this could go a step forward and players could see a Cal Kestis jumping to live-action. It wouldn’t be hard given that Cal’s appearance is based on that of his actor, Cameron Monaghan.

WhileObi-Wan Kenobiconnecting to the already-releasedJedi: Fallen Ordercould be the easiest route, connecting theObi-Wan Kenobidebut to the Star Wars Celebration reveal ofJFO2isn’t impossible either. They’re so close that some synergy or connection between the two would be great for both. Perhaps, instead of—or alongside—a Cal Kestis cameo inObi-Wan Kenobi,Obi-Wan could appear inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2too.

This is all, of course, speculation based on Ewan McGregor’s comment. In its simplest terms, it may be referencingDarth Vader’s Inquisitors, but it’s a small statement that could also pack a serious punch. Either way, fans will just have to wait and see how all this shakes out at the end of the month.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2is reportedly in development.
