Enshroudedis an open-world fantasy survival RPG with a range of interesting mechanics and skills available to players. While classes are not restrictive in any way, and players can select skills from independent trees regardless of their progression in another tree, the classes do provide a basis for understanding thekey skills in a particular tree. Red skills primarily center on combat, green on survival, and blue on magic.
The Wizard class is located in the blue section of the skill tree. It is sided by the Healer and the Trickster, both of which contain valuable skills which can contribute to the overall strength of the character. To unlock new skills, players will first have to earn skill points, which can beacquired through leveling up. The Wizard is one of the most powerful skill trees in the game, and contains many useful skills for players looking to use magic weapons and attacks. Among them, these are the best choices.

8Quick Charge
A Basic Skill For Every Wizard To Acquire Early
Quick Charge is an important early-game skill for players using staves as their primary weapon. This can apply to Wizards, as well as Battlemages or Healers depending on the player’s chosen skills. This skill willreduce the time it takes to charge spells by up to 50%,depending on the staff.
This can be considered an essential skill for the class. To progress to manyof the more powerful skills, players will require this one first. It is still possible to play with a strong magic-based character without the use of staves, though the approach through the skill tree will be very different.

7Frost
Useful When Outnumbered Or Facing Higher Level Enemies
The Frost skill is useful for any Wizard type builds, as it grants a useful ability when under enemy pressure. When receiving melee damage, attackers will be temporarily slowed for 3 seconds. This can be an extremely useful skill regardless of the class type, grantingvaluable additional secondsin combat for players to retreat and heal, or strike a counter blow.
While this ability can be useful when faced with stronger enemies, players should not rely on it entirely without some form of Healing skill as well. Fortunately, the Healer skill tree runs alongside that of the Wizard, making it easy to pick up skills from each class without diverting too much from the main skill tree.

6Radiant Aura
Defensive Spell Damages Enemies Within The Shroud
A useful area-of-effect spell when fighting in The Shroud, Radiant Aura willcause allFell enemiesto take 1 fire damage per second for every point of the player’s Intelligence, provided the enemy is within 10 meters of the player. Since players will have to acquire lots of intelligence-based skill points along the way to unlocking this skill, it will be even more effective once unlocked.
For Wizards choosing to specialize in Fire damage, this spell should be a no-brainer, as it will be further enhanced with other skills such as Pyromaniac. With these skills linked, it will provide a continual output of magic damage against Fell enemies, making combat a little bit easier.

5Sun Aura
Increased Damage To Enemies In The Shroud
Sun Aura is another useful skill which will help to enhance the power of the Radiant Aura ability, and serves as a natural progression for that particular skill. Sun Aura willcause Radiant Aura to generate an additional 1 damage per intelligence per second to all Fell foes, essentially doubling the power of the aura.
While this is more of a passive skill, it can be very helpful when traveling within The Shroud. However, players should be aware that it will not work on normal enemies. While it takes a lot of skill points to unlock both abilities, it will provide a noticeable difference once equipped.

4Chain Hit
Damages Several Enemies With A Single Attack
Chain Hit is a great skill to unlock for all magic classes, and will greatly help when facing multiple enemies at once, not just in The Shroud. This skill will causeshock damage to a second enemy within 15 meterswhenever the player lands a critical hit with a magic weapon.
Players can improve the likelihood of landing critical hits with a range of weapons and skills, including the Wizard skill. This will increase the critical hit chance of magical weapons by 10%. TheShroud Weaver staffwill also improve the chances of a critical hit by 5%.

3Dark Arts
Increases The Damage Of All Weapon Types Within The Shroud
The Dark Arts skill is another skill tailored towards combat in The Shroud, and willincrease all damage whilst in The Shroud by 10%.Considering that many of the harder enemies are found here, and that time is limited, this ability can be a great help.
In addition to other skills and weapons that effect Fell enemies in The Shroud, the Dark Arts skill can be used by any class to increase damage output against these specific enemies. This will also help to further improve the damage output of the Aura skills.

2Mass Destruction
Damages Enemies Who Come Within Range
Similar to Chain Hit, Mass Destruction willdamage all enemies within 20 meters when the player lands a critical with a magic weapon. The damage will depend on the player’s overall intelligence attribute, which is likely to be very high by the time they unlock this skill.
This ability will work both in and out of the Shroud, and can be further enhancedby choosing skillsfocused on Shock damage, such as Lightning. While this ability may be useful to some other classes, it is at the upper end of the Wizard skill tree.

1Abyss
Grants Massive Bonus Damage To Enemies In The Shroud
Abyss is another useful ability when making excursions to The Shroud, increasing damage of all kinds by 20%. This massive boost will come after unlocking Dark Arts, giving players an overall 30% damage bonus when fighting in The Shroud.
This will also affect passive skills such as the Aura abilities, and is not limited to the use of staves. This will become particularly useful at higher levels, when the difficulty level of Shroud enemies will greatly increase.
