In the heart of Florida at theWalt Disney World Resortin Lake Buena Vista, one can find Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs complex, home of an all-new drone show called Disney Dreams That Soar. In just under 10 minutes, hundreds of futuristic drones light up the night sky, choreographed to the scores of popular Disney movies. As the drones soar through the air, they cooperate to craft visually stunning images of fan-favoriteDisneyheroes fromToy Story,Star Wars,Peter Pan, and many more.
Presented by AT&T, Disney Dreams That Soar provides guestswith an exclusive MagicBand+, which will come alive in unison with the performance. The bracelet will light up, vibrate, and react in real time to the movement of the drones. Disney Dreams That Soar will perform on a nightly basis through August 01, 2025.
Where to Go to See the Disney Dreams That Soar Drone Show
Guests can find viewing areas on the Disney Springs West Side along the waterfront between the Cirque du Soleil Theatre and Aerophile — The World Leader in Balloon Flight and this entrance opens at 7:45 pm. These viewing areas fill up fast and operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. This outdoor drone show is subject to cancelation dependent on unforeseen weather changes. As a result, showtimes are subject to deviate from the calendar, sobe sure to plan accordingly. For guests requiring wheelchair access, there are additional, dedicated viewing areas near Food Truck Park.
A few years ago, Disneyland revamped Sunset Boulevard’s Fantasmic! attraction, which originally opened in October 1998. Just two years ago, Fantasmic! reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with never-before-seen special effects. A fourth and (at the time of writing) final version of Fantasmic! premiered in May 2024 after one of the animatronics caught on fire in 2023. Both the Fantasmic! Fireworks Show and Disney Dreams That Soar are swiftlybecoming Disneyland’s most popularoutdoor activities.
Disney Dreams That Soar was first announced in March 2024, alongside other upcoming attractions in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the grand opening of CommuniCore Hall & Plaza at Epcot, and the 30th anniversary ofThe Lion Kingat Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The inspiration behind Dreams That Soar came from the surge in popularity of drone shows at Disneyland Paris, particularly the Disney Electric Sky Parade, which can be viewed above Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and features over 500 drones.
