While it is not particularly difficult to switch animal companions, some fans may be confused about what menu they must use. Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Switch Pets
In order to switch animal companions, a player must firstopen their Inventory. To perform this action, fans oflife sim gamesshould direct their attention to the top-right corner of the screen and press the input that appears next to the backpack icon. Then, once a player has accessed their inventory, they should select theWardrobetab on the left side.

Upon entering the Wardrobe, players will see numerous options, the vast majority of which are focused onclothing inDisney Dreamlight Valley. However, there is aCompanionsbutton within this menu, and fans should click on it to see all the pets that they have in their possession. From there, players must simply select the animal companion that they would like to have following them and then close out of the menus to see the pet in action.
To note, players cannot currently switch their pets when they are inside or visiting a Realm. However, it is certainly possible that things will change as the game’s Early Access period continues and its official release approaches. Indeed, it may only be a matter of time before animal companions can be swapped anywhere, and that would certainly please players that want to take pictures with their pets in a variety of locations.
With respect to how players can go about expanding their roster of available pets, befriending the various animals that appear in the wild is a great option. That is done by feeding creatures, though these animals may not become companions the first time that they are offered food. If aDisney fandoes not see an animal in their Companion list after they have fed it, they should simply try giving it a different food on another day.
Players can also obtain some special pets by purchasing the Deluxe Edition or theUltimate Edition ofDisney Dreamlight Valley. More specifically, fans that buy the Deluxe Edition will receive the Celestial Sea Turtle animal companion, while those that spring for the Ultimate Edition will receive the Celestial Sea Turtle as well as the Regal Fox.
