To help provide players with a little more variety, holiday events inDestiny 2provide both unique objectives and rewards for players to pursue. While Festival of the Lost has playerskilling Headless Onesand looting large quantities of candy, the Dawning involves players making cookies for all the iconic non-playable characters throughout the game.
Unlike some holiday events that have special activities,Destiny 2players can bake cookies by simply playing the game and gathering ingredients. Every weapon, damage type, and enemy slain provide different ingredients for cookies. One example of an ingredient is Sharp Flavor, and here is how to get it.

How to Get Sharp Flavor
to get Sharp Flavor,Destiny 2players must kill enemies with a blade. It doesn’t matter whether it is a PvE or PvP kill, and location doesn’t matter either. Simplyequip a Swordand kill enemies with it. The drop rate for ingredients is low, so it may take a handful of kills before players see Sharp Flavor drop. Every day at the Tower, Eva Levante offers a series of bounties. These bounties award an ingredient upon completion, and sometimes Sharp Flavor is one of those rewards.
Can Glaives Cause Sharp Flavor to Drop?
The issue with Swords, however, is that they eventually run out of ammo. Even with ammo mods equipped, players are at the mercy of when Destiny 2 decides to drop ammo. As a result,Destiny 2players may want to considerbringing along a Glaiveas well while they are framing Sharp Flavor.
Unlike Swords, the melee for Glaives does not run out of ammo. So if players temporarily run out of Sword ammo, they can switch to the Glaive and keep farming for Sharp Flavor. While in-game text does not say that Glaive melee kills drop Sharp Flavor, it does happen occasionally.
What’s the Best Method for Farming Sharp Flavor
It is completely random when players get ingredients for Sharp Flavor. Even the Dawning upgrades from Eva Levante only give players random ingredients upon completion. So the most reliable method of getting Sharp Flavor or any other ingredient is to go somewhere there is a large amount of enemies that can easily be reset repeatedly. A good place to do this would be the Lost Sector in Sorrow’s Harbor on the Moon.
What Recipe is Sharp Flavor Used For?
Since the Dawning isall about baking cookies,Destiny 2players will be using all the ingredients they have gathered to make baked goods for all the various characters that can be interacted with. Despite how many ingredients there are, only one recipe uses Sharp Flavor. The Vanilla Blades can be baked with one Cabal Oil, one Sharp Flavor, and 15 Essence of Dawning and then gifted to Shaxx.
Destiny 2is available now on Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
