Tony Khan, the CEO ofAll Elite Wrestling, has announced that Danhausen will make his in-ring debut onDynamite. Danhausen has been out of action for several months after suffering an injury to his left leg where his tibia and fibula were broken. After months of rehabbing the injury, the very nice, very evil competitor is set to make his in-ring debut for the company.

Danhausen made hisAEWdebut on the Beach Break episode ofDynamiteback in late January, where he appeared during the main event Lights Out match between Adam Coleand Orange Cassidy. During the match, Danhausen would be pulled from under the ring by Cole, clinging to the back of a steel chair. Danhausen would put a signature curse on Cole, who would go on to lose the match to Cassidy. Since then, Danhausen has been involved in a number of entertaining storylines, which most recently has included HOOK.

Confirmed by Khan, Danhausen willmake his in-ring AEW debutagainst Tony Nese. Up until this point, the extent of Danhausen’s in-ring competition in AEW has included an in-ring attack from Nese a few weeks ago. Nese, who has recently come under the guidance of Mark Sterling, will be a difficult opponent for Danhausen to overcome in his debut, as Nese has only lost 1 of his last 10 matches. With Sterling in his corner, Nese will also have a numbers advantage. Danhausen tried to even the playing field by asking HOOK to be in his corner, but the encounter ended without Danhausen getting the answer he was looking for.

Over the past few weeks, Danhausen has set his sights on HOOK after the latter appearedto be immune to his curses. Since then, the two have shared a number of comedic and tense backstage segments. Their most recent was an in-ring confrontation fueled by Danhausen’s upcoming bout with Nese, where Danhausen gifted HOOK a bag of potato chips. Fans have become invested in the progression of the polar opposite duo that has become dubbed “HOOKhausen,” and they hope to see the two fan favorites on the same side soon.

Danhausen gained a lot of notoriety duringhis time with Ring of Honor, as well as his presence on social media. His catchphrases, which include “Love that Danhausen” and “Very Nice, Very Evil,” are frequently spotted on signs and t-shirts in the crowd, attesting to his growing popularity. HOOK is another fan favorite who has quickly gained traction in AEW. His aggressive in-ring style and persona as a man of few words have captivated many fans.

HOOK and Danhausen have not come to an agreement, but that doesn’t mean HOOK can’t have a hand in Danhausen’sin-ring debut in AEW. Given Nese’s impressive and dominant record in AEW, Danhausen will have his hands full for his debut match. With Sterling in Nese’s corner, the backhanded tactics the two could use to gain the upper hand are endless. Should Nese or Sterling use any of these backhanded tactics against Danhausen, HOOK could run in and make the save.

AEW Dynamitewill be live from Long Island, New York at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on TBS.
