Ever since it launched, it feels as if new controversies involvingCyberpunk 2077have been popping up rather frequently. Despite being very popular and financially successful,especially on PC, the initial launch came under fire for being riddled with bugs, glitches, and performance issues, particularly on the base PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions and its reputation continues to take hits.
However, the latest issue that has arisen doesn’t necessarily involveCyberpunk 2077itself or CD Projekt, at least not directly. Instead, the source of the problem is a large mural depictingplayer character V(specifically the male one), which was painted along the side of the Sao Bento condominium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Production company NaLata was responsible for the artwork, having paid the owner of the condominium to use two blind gables for the mural. Work on the 20ft mural started around November and was completed at least before the end of 2020. It initially garnered some positive press, with even the city’s official Twitter account praising it, though that post has since been deleted.
This isn’t even the only fine related story aboutCyberpunk 2077.The Polish governmentstated earlier this week that it would be monitoring progress on the planned patches for the game. If CD Projekt fails to deliver them, it could face fines of up to 10% of its annual income.
That’s not all CD Projekt stands to lose. Last month,a class action lawsuitwas filed against the company by a law firm representing the studio’s own investors. FollowingCyberpunk 2077’s launch, CD Projekt’s stock prices fell, which in turn affected the investors, who are accusing the studio of deliberately making false statements regarding the game’s functionality on consoles.
Aside from the aforementioned patches and fixes, CD Projekt is still aiming make specific versions for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well asan additional multiplayer mode. Said mode is still a long way away, but dataminers may have uncovered details, such as the inclusion of heists and a deathmatch mode.
Cyberpunk 2077is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
