How to Upgrade Weapons in Wuthering Waves
To upgrade weapons inWuthering Waves, players need to navigate tothe Resonators menuin the Terminal. From there, they should access a character’s Weapons tab and select “Upgrade.” In the subsequent menu, they can level up the Resonator’s weapon using EXP points.
By clicking Auto-Select, empty slots are automatically filled based on the player’s inventory. However, it’s advisable to allocate upgrade materials primarily to their main weapons, as these resources are scarce.

A faster route to access the weapon upgrade menu is through the Backpack. Players can choose a weapon from their inventory and directly access its ascension and tuning menu.
Weapon Ascension

Weapon ascension is linked to the player’s SOL3 Phase Level. With every 10 levels earned toward theirUnion Level Progression, their Phase Level increases by one. Therefore, to surpass the ascension cap, players need only to advance their Union Level.
Weapon Tuning
Tuning involves synthesizing a weapon’s duplicates. Each time a player obtains a copy of a weapon, they can merge it with the one they are already using. Tuning enhances the weapon’s Rank, thereby boosting its primary stat.
How to Get Weapon Upgrade Materials in Wuthering Waves
Energy Cores and unequipped weapons serve as upgrade materials. Players obtain these materials by looting chests, completing missions, orpulling from the Convene Banners. Additionally, they can visit Uncle Wei at the Weapon Crafting Store to purchase these items in exchange for Shell Credits.
For advanced upgrade materials like MF and FF Cores, players can utilize the Synthesizer. By inserting low-level weapon upgrade materials into this device, they can craft high-level equivalents without any additional cost. The Synthesizer is located near the city hall in Jinzhou.
