Chronos: Before the Ashesis finally here, and amidst all the excitement, some fans are wondering just how long it will take to beat the game. Due toChronos' peculiar origins, it should come as no surprise that this game is on the shorter side of things. That said, how long players spend with it will largely depend on their own playstyle.
Most people that have been followingChronos: Before the Ashesare aware that it is aprequel toRemnant: From the Ashes, but many don’t know that it’s actually a retooled version of the 2016 virtual reality gameChronos.

For the most part, it’s background as a VR game doesn’t hinder it’s new life, but there are some noticeable things that carry over. As withmost VR games,Chronos: Before the Ashesisn’t very long, though it provides enough of an experience to warrant carrying over to the standard format.
AsChronos: Before the Asheshas only just released, there isn’t a ton of information on how long it will take to beat, but an answer can be inferred by the runtime ofChronosinstead. As a general rule,Chronostook players around 15 hours to beat if running through just the story and ignoring all side quests and extras. This number of course varies depending on the player’s skill and just how much they are trying to rush through things, but players can expect to get at least that much time out of it.
Adding in some extras and various side quests will of course lengthen the game, with some players claiming they spent up to 20 hours exploring the world ofChronos. Finally a 100% completion run will take a bit more time, presumably lasting 25 hours or longer depending on how thorough and efficient the player is. Again, these times are based off the original VR title,Chronos, so there may well be somechanges inChronos: Before the Ashesthat extend or shorten the play time. Players will have to play through it themselves or wait for more people to share their experiences about the total runtime.
For those concerned about the relatively short completion time ofChronos: Before the Ashes, take heart in knowing that it is reflected in the game’s price. It won’t be selling for the full $60 price tag that players are used to, and is more than half off from thepremium next generation $70 games. Players can get ahold ofChronos: Before the Ashesfor just $30 if they’d like to try it out for themselves.
Chronos: Before the Ashesis available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
