Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3Zombies has been a big hit for Treyarch, and given that success, many are optimistic about the future. While a lack of solo-friendly content has been a major complaint from fans, as has Mercenary-focused additions like Warlords and some strange balancing choices, the core gameplay is strong. So long as Treyarch continues to introduce some fresh story content and gameplay features, like newCoDZombies mini-bosses, the mode could thrive for the entire year. However, smaller content updates should not be forgotten amid the big changes.
In terms of little changes the mode can make, plenty of suggestions have been made about quality-of-life features forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3Zombies, such as a scoreboard, challenge-tracking, and a larger stash size. There is something that Outbreak had whichMWZcould consider integrating too, and it would instantly make driving around the map more entertaining. The feature in question is War Tracks, which is licensed music that Treyarch used very effectively in its previous open-world mode.

War Tracks in MWZ Would Have No Shortage of Options
Though skipping War Tracks inCall of Duty: Vanguardmade sense, as they would not suit the vibe of a WW2-era first-person shooter, it is odd to see them omitted from the latest entry in the series. While some players likely care little about this missing feature, other Zombies fans have likely noticed its absence, as driving aroundUrzikstanin MWZ can be painfully quiet. Considering how often people will be driving from contract to contract, the lack of music is genuinely disappointing - especially for those who played Outbreak.
Treyarch’s previous open-world Zombies mode, Outbreak, did some things better than MWZ, and War Tracks were undoubtedly a win for that mode. Helping make the game’s 1980s setting more immersive, while also letting players sing along with their friends as they drove around the various Ural Mountains zones, tracks ranging from from “Push It” to “Cherry Pie” could be listened to. In a mode with a modern setting, licensed music ranging from Kendrick Lamar and Eminem to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga could feature, giving gamers some popular songs to listen to whenever they are on the road. Even if Treyarch is unable to use licensed songs in MWZ, putting original Zombies tracks like “115” and “Archangel” on the radio would make a huge difference.
War Tracks Could Be Replaced With a Radio in MWZ
If Treyarch wants to get creative, instead of giving players mixtapes (which would likely either become CDs or playlists in a modern game likeMW3) it could add a proper radio like what is seen inFortniteandGrand Theft Auto.Radio stations like those inGTAare constantly playing, and each channel offers a different collection of tracks like in real life, giving players deeper control over the music they listen to while on the go.Call of Duty’s collaborations with musicians like Snoop Dogg and Avenged Sevenfold show that a range of music would be on the table. Plus, Treyarch could hide some Easter eggs within these radio stations, like telling groups of players to go to a certain area to find something or hiding a secret code for players to decipher that provides a big story teaser.
