ManyCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans are enjoying the Rytec AMR sniper that was added to the game as part of theSeason 4 Reloaded update, but it’s not without its issues. Numerous bugs have been reported with the Rytec AMR, including an issue where players are unable to change the reticle when using the sniper’s default scope. Luckily, Infinity Ward has confirmed that a fix for this bug is on the way.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Infinity Ward’s Joe Cecot confirmed that the developers are looking into a fix for the Rytec AMR reticle bug that could very well be released early next week. Presumably, this fix would be a part ofModern Warfare’s usual weekly update, which rolls out on Tuesdays. Cecot said that the fix will “hopefully” be coming next week, though, so there’s still a chance that fans may have to wait a little longer for the issue to be resolved.

The reticle bug is not the only issue plaguingModern WarfareRytec AMR users. There is also a Rytec AMR XP bug that’s keeping players being able to level up the gun and unlock all of its attachments. Infinity Ward hasn’t indicated when a fix for that particular Rytec AMR bug will be coming, but it has offered a workaround. Anyone having issues with theRytec AMR not leveling upcan simply remove explosive rounds from the gun, and that should fix the problem for now.
Another problem impactingCall of Duty: Modern WarfareRytec AMR sniper users is specific to theWarzonebattle royale mode. Players have noticed that they are only ever able tobreak enemy’s armor with the Rytecinstead of downing or killing them, even when landing headshots. Since the Rytec AMR is supposed to be one of the most powerful sniper rifles in the game, this isn’t by design, and Infinity Ward has confirmed that it is looking into the issue.
Modern Warfarefans can expect Rytec AMR bug fixes to be released as part of upcoming updates. Of course, more substantial updates are also on the horizon, withModern WarfareandWarzoneSeason 5expected to kick off early August.
As usual, fans can expect the newModern WarfareBattle Passto add more new weapons to the game, and hopefully they avoid some of the issues that the Rytec AMR has been experiencing.
