Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warseason 3 officially starts on April 22nd, but fans can already download the season 3 patch and get access to some of its content. The update is available now to all players on all platforms, meaning they simply need to log in to start the download. Thesize of the season 3 update is different for each platform, however. On PlayStation 5: 12.3 GB; PlayStation 4: 8.1 GB; Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S: 11.6 GB; Xbox One: 8.3 GB; and PC: 13.1 GB. Keep in mind that this won’t enable all of the season 3 content, as that won’t start until tonight/early tomorrow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris keeping things fresh with seasonal updates, and this season 3 update is adding a ton of new content. Players can expect to see new multiplayer maps, zombies content, playable characters, and more, so it’s a good time to be a fan. Season 3 officially begins at 9 PM PT April 21 (12 AM ET April 22).

As with every new season in games like this, the first thing players should expect is a new battle pass. This will give them a chance to grind through 100 ranks of rewards throughout the course of the season, adding new characters and other unlockables. Beyond that, there are alsotwo new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, and several new multiplayer featuresfor fans to enjoy. Zombies isn’t being ignored either, as players will soon have access to new outbreak regions and maps as well as powerups and weapons.
Treyarch and Activision have already released a content roadmapshowing what is planned to be coming in the near future throughout season 3, so players that want more information can dig into that. Kicking things off, the Hunt for Adler event sees players take to bothCall of Duty: WarzoneandCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warin an effort to discover clues about where Adler is. This cross game event should be interesting to say the least. In addition to all of this, there’s also some balance changes that could shake up the meta a bit.
