Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s pre-load has begun, allowing fans an early install ahead of the game’s official launch. The pre-load is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, though next-gen players will obviously have to wait to download the game. Players will have had to pre-orderCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfor the pre-load to take effect.
Each platform comes with its own instructions as to how the pre-loading phase will work. Activision is slowly dispensing information regarding theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warpre-load phase, but there is still enough released to get fans started.

TheCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarPlayStation 4 pre-load is planned to start on November 5th or November 6th depending on the player’s region. Any player onPlayStation 4 that pre-ordered a digital version ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwill be able to start the preload. As of now, the PlayStation Store is listing November 6 at 12 AM ET as the official pre-load start time for North America.

Do keep in mind that players getting a PlayStation 5 on launch day will be able to immediately pre-loadCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waronto the next generation console. The download should be started immediately before the full launch of the game on November 13th.
Activision has not released an official pre-load time forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarXbox fans. The game may follow a similar release schedule toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare,and if so players can expect the pre-load to begin on November 4th or 5th. Do keep in mind that theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfile size is currently listed at 100GB, but this may be subject to change as the release date gets closer.

Fans that are going topurchase the Xbox Series X or Swill be able to preload the game as soon as the console arrives on November 10th.
Players who purchased anearly copy ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waron Battle.netwill have to wait a bit longer as well. Activision has not released a schedule as of yet, but based on last year’s launch, fans can expect pre-load around 3 or 4 days prior to the launch on November 13th.Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris expected to be a 175GB download for PC fans, so make sure there is ample space available before starting the download process.
