Disney Plus is on a streaming roll when it comes to the popularity of itsStar Warsseries such asThe MandalorianandThe Book of Boba Fett. Therefore, the news that Disney Plus is in the process of adding yet another series to the franchise is no surprise at all. The studio is reportedly in the process of making a new series that will focus solely on the character of Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff.

The character of Bo-Katan was first introduced to fans inStar Wars: The Clone Wars, in which Sackhoff voiced the role. Sackhoff seemed to continuously find herself returning tothe character of Bo-Katanin some shape or form. She reprised her role once again inStar Wars Rebels, but it was whenTheMandaloriancame onto the scene that she finally got to build a solid foundation for her character.

Now, That Hashtag Show claims its sources have learned that Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan is the latestStar Warscharacter to land their own Disney Plus series. The new show is set to pick up timeline wise after the events that took place inthe third season ofThe Mandalorian, which has yet to air. Reportedly, Bo-Katan was meant to play a prominant role on the canceledRangers of the New Republicseries, but now that the project has been axed due to issues that include the offensive comments made by Gina Carano, some story elements and characters may be moved over to the Bo-Katan series.

The report also says to expect flashbacks in the Bo-Katan series,not unlikeThe Book of Boba Fett. The new Bo-Katan series will most likely not be available for streaming on Disney Plus until late 2023 or early 2024. Luckily, fans have the third season ofThe Mandalorianto help them prepare and get excited for the newStar Warsseries.

Sackhoff stated in an interview withetonlineback when she first got news that she would be returning as Bo-Katan for the Disney Plus series that it was a dream come true. She stated, “So, when Bo-Katan came around, it was just an opportunity to exist in the world and really just live out a childhood imagination and fantasy. Over the years, she’s become very important to not only myself because I’ve played her for so long and I’ve really seen her grow up as a character. She just means a lot to me. It is incredibly special and rare to be able to play her in live action. So, there’s a lot of nerves that come along with that.”

Those nerves and pressure she experienced must have only increased with news of her possibly obtaining her own spin-off series. After all, once viewerswitnessed Sackhoff as Bo-KataninThe Mandalorian, fans have been pining for her to land her own spin-off series. Not much is known about the new series, other than that Sackhoff and Disney Plus are attached.
