AHogwarts Legacymodder has shown off a bizarre mod that adds an IKEA shark plush to the game. The modding community forHogwarts Legacyis hard at work adding new content to the game, and some of it is strange to see.

Hogwarts Legacyhas endured a tough launch period that saw many gamers look to boycott the game due to J.K. Rowling’s comments on the transgender community. Avalanche Software’s title has performed extremely well despite this, selling over 12 million units in its first two weeks post-launch, with strong critical reception to the game proving key to its success. However, if the game is to have staying power on PC, the modding community will be essential in ensuring there’s a revolving door of new content for players to add to the game. The mod by Nexus Mods user Philosopickle, aptly titled “IKEA Shark Broom,” adds the IKEA Blahaj shark plush toHogwarts Legacyas a broom, replacing the Yew Weaver Broom. It’s a simple replacement mod, and it’s certainly bizarre to see the protagonist flying around Hogwarts on a shark plush. Many mods for the game are similar to this, intended not to be taken seriously by players. But the modding community has also been busy improving the game in serious ways, too, with oneHogwarts Legacymod adding an arachnophobia modeto the game, making a big improvement in the game’s accessibility.

As a key part ofHogwarts Legacy’s gameplay, the modding community for the game has instantly jumped to overhauling the game’s brooms. Many of the earlier broom mods haven’t taken themselves too seriously, with Philosopickle’s IKEA shark broom not being the only fan creation embracing the stranger side of the modding world. One funnyHogwarts Legacymod added a Shrek broomto the game, replacing the Aeromancer Broom. This means that players could technically use both if they wanted and create perhaps the most bizarreHogwarts Legacyexperience possible.

When fans ofHogwarts Legacyaren’t modding the game, many players are still discovering every secret the game still has hidden away. One recently revealed secret showsa fireplace inHogwarts Legacythat doubles as a secret passage, which many players may have missed initially. With the game still relatively new, it will be fun to see in the coming months what fans can unearth in the game, especially with the potential addition of DLC.

Hogwarts Legacyis now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and the Switch version launching on July 25.
