Those who own base PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles especially have experienced serious bugs inCyberpunk 2077that impact everything from the visuals to the gameplay, with some even encountering bugs that are game-breaking. CD Projekt Red has acknowledgedCyberpunk 2077’s issues on PS4 and Xbox One, offering to refund fans who are disappointed with the game.
CD Projekt Red issued a messageon Twitter apologizing forCyberpunk 2077’s issues on PS4 and Xbox One (and in general), prompting a response from billionaire Elon Musk. Musk replied toCyberpunk 2077’s tweet with a screenshot of a Reddit post from a disgruntled fan who was disappointed in the game. The fan said that they “just feel empty” and have been “crying” because of how much the game let them down.

Elon Musk reportedly appears inCyberpunk 2077in a brief cameo, so it’s especially surprising to see him taking shots at the game’s troubles. The trolling didn’t stop there, though, as he also shared an edited image of Michael Scott fromThe Officemaking an obscene gesture, complete with theCyberpunk 2077logo and signature neon lights.
While some fans may take this as a sign that Elon Musk does not likeCyberpunk 2077himself, that may not necessarily be the case. A couple of hours after his trolling tweets, a fan asked Musk if he had the chance to play the game yet himself. Musk confirmed that he had indeed been playingCyberpunk 2077, though only “briefly.” Musk apparently chose theNomad lifepathand determined that the game “seems pretty good.”
Musk also pointed out how it “seemed like almost everyone on Steam was playing Cyberpunk at some point this weekend,” which is a nod to the game’s massive early success. DespiteCyberpunk 2077having some rather serious technical issues, the game smashed the Steam concurrent player record. Not only that, butCyberpunk 2077saleshave been incredibly high, topping charts and recouping its development costs pretty much immediately.
Of course, CD Projekt Red issuing refunds forCyberpunk 2077may hurt its sales performance somewhat, but it’s unlikely to be a significant enough dent to really hurt the game in the long run.
