ThoughBattlefield6is one of the most hotly anticipated games expected to come out in 2021, details surrounding the title have been relatively scarce. Today, however, a couple of alleged screenshots have leaked onto the web. While fans debate the authenticity of the images, one notorious leaker has already gone on record saying that they are definitely shots fromBattlefield 6.

The screenshots that hit the web are relatively low resolution, but appear to show two screens fromBattlefield 6. The first could be a still from a cinematic shot or from a first-person view with the HUD removed, but it shows a view over a remote island with multiple aircraft flying above. While it’s difficult to discern with the poor resolution, the aircraft appears to have transverse rotors like a V-22 Osprey.

The second is a clear-cut gameplay footage shot showing a player piloting an aircraft with a full HUD display. The player is looking out at what appears to be a space shuttle launch site. These shots don’t give much to go on, but if they’re real, they more or less confirm a serious depth of aerial combat within the game, something that may suggestcrash landings inBattlefield 6.

The shots were posted to Reddit by user FeeAdministrative666 but were confirmed by notedBattlefieldleaker, Tom Henderson on Twitter. Among many leaks that have since been confirmed, Tom recently predicted thatbattle royale will not be inBattlefield 6at launch. Regarding the screenshots that hit Reddit, Tom took to Twitter to say that the “images that have been leaked in the past hour are real.”

Among the commenters, a consensus was reached that if these screenshots were fake, then someone put a ridiculous level of effort into the hoax. The aesthetic of the screenshots is spot-on to theBattlefieldfranchise, right down to the color palette. As well, many noted that Tom Henderson had leaked drawings of a few scenes fromBattlefield 6, and these screenshots are nearly identical to those same pictures. With rumors of aforthcoming trailer in less than a week, these leaks could easily be related to that reveal.

If they’re authentic, these two stills offer a ton of insight intoBattlefield 6. With a fully-equipped aircraft armed with missiles usually comes destructible environments, something onmany players’Battlefield 6wishlist. There’s also the obvious potential for a focus on aerial combat to spice up battle royales in a way fans have not seen done before. Regardless of whether these screenshots are genuine or not, fans will have to continue to be patient and wait for more information on the game.
