Apex Legendsseason 11 introduces a new character in Ash, a new map in Storm Point, anew gun in the CAR SMG, and more. Storm Point itself seems like it’ll have a major impact on the game, as not only the biggest map in the game, but one with a lot of emphasis on verticality, need for travel and rotation, new micro-positions, and more. One other change fans always know to anticipate is the Care Package.

ForSpitfire lovers, it may be heartbreaking to know it’s still in the Care Package, but it may very well be so for a while. At least, that’s true forApex Legendsseason 11. The Alternator and Kraber (obviously) also remain in the Care Package, if there are some general changes made, but the Triple Take itself is no longer in the Care Package.

The Triple-Take Comes Out, The G7 Scout Goes In

Quite a few seasons ago, Respawn Entertainment introducedgeneral Sniper Rifle ammo for the SR classto better balance how they operated. This took some flavor away from some guns that were more unique, like the Triple-Take, and so when it went into the Cage Package, it became an Energy-based Marksman. InApex Legendsseason 11, it’ll be ground loot and remain classified as such.

Replacing the Triple-Take is the G7 Scout. As aCare Package weapon inApex Legends, it’s getting a strong buff and includes the Double Tap Trigger hop-up. It may be surprising to see this Marksman weapon getting put into the Care Package, even though it’s deadly in the right hands, but it also may be due to Storm Point. The general design of the map may very well lend itself to better long-range fights, strengthening the use of the G7 scout here, and fans should expect to see a wider variety of weapon usage in a match (though, of course, the meta will still likely establish itself early on).

Apex Legends Nerfs The Kraber

There are two other notable changes being made to the Care Package. First and foremost is their appearance rate and inclusion of Care Package Weapons. Early game Care Packages are being buffed from a 25% chance to include a weapon to 50%, while late game Care Packages are being moved from 50% to 100%. In other words, it’s entirely possible to see more Krabers, G7 Scouts, Spitfires, andAlternatorson each map, even earlier inApex Legends.

However, to account for this, theKraber is being slightly nerfed. It’ll still be a powerhouse inApex Legends, no doubt, but for the chance to get more on the map, it’s getting slightly weaker. Depending on how thorough it is and how this impacts each map, not just Storm Point, it may very well prove to be a good trade-off.

Apex Legendsis available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
