Crypto’s Heirloom was originally leaked some time ago, with the first images surfacing back in early February. However, a recent Reddit video shows it in action, displaying various animations and emotes. The futuristic blade is collapsible and boosts a series of animated dials that seem to function as a security system. Its handle also contains a pair of secret compartments. The smaller one hides a USB drive, which makes sense forApex Legends’resident surveillance expert. Meanwhile, the other compartment contains something a bit more personal. One animation has Crypto unfold a worn photograph and caress it lovingly before returning it to its hiding place in the sword’s handle.

The same video also gives fans their first look at Valkyrie’s Heirloom. Her unique melee weapon skin is a three-pronged spear resembling a traditional Japanese yari. These polearms are easily recognizable by their distinctive T-shaped spearhead, though Valkyrie’s collapses into a single blade when she thrusts. Unfortunately, it’s still clearly unfinished, lacking textures and seeming to have fewer unique animations. The post notes that Respawn intends to add it as part of Season 13, though it’s still early, and fans should always take such predictions with a grain of salt.

Wattson was the most recent Legend to get an Heirloom set during December’s pirate-themed “Raiders” Collection Event. Players can unlock Heirlooms by collecting all 24 items in their corresponding set during the event. They can also purchase them with Heirloom shards, which have a 1% chance to drop from Apex Packs,Apex Legends’version of loot boxes.

Players can try and snag Crypto’s Heirloom during the upcoming “Warriors” Collection Event. Respawn Entertainment has yet to confirm the date of the upcoming event, though it’s expected to be duringApex Legend’songoing 12th season. With Season 12 starting over a month ago, some believe that an official announcement might happen over the next few weeks. Hopefully, eager fans will not have much longer to wait.
