A fewPS1 and PSP games have been confirmed for PS Plus Premium, includingOddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Syphon Filter, Ape Escape, andTekken 2.That hasn’t prevented fans from keeping an eye out for any hint about what the other retro PlayStation games might be, and a recent rating in South Korea suggests thatResistance: Retributionmay be joining the PSP lineup of titles available through PS Plus Premium. The listing specifically categorizes the game as being for the PS4 and PS5. Considering thatResistance: Retributiononly ever launched as a PSP title, for many people, the new rating description can only mean one thing.
For some gamers, Insomniac’sResistanceseries of sci-fi first-person shooters is one of the best to come out of the seventh console generation. So it was disappointing to learn that a pitch for the long-awaitedResistance 4was rejected by Sonybecause there were too many post-apocalyptic games, likeThe Last of UsandDays Gone,in development at the same time. In 2018, Insomniac Community Director James Stevenson said that a newResistancegame ever being made “[felt] like a longshot.”

So it may appease some fans of the franchise that, at least so far,Resistance 3is confirmed to be coming toPS Plus Premiumand, if rumors are to be believed,Resistance: Retributionmay be joining the lineup as well. Hopefully, Sony plans to make the entire series available eventually through the subscription service.
Resistance: Retributionbroke from the established first-person POV of the franchise and is presented from a third-person perspective. Developed by Bend Studio and released for PlayStation Portable in 2009, the game is set between the events of the first and second entries. It introduces a new protagonist, Lieutenant James Grayson, who sets out on a personal vendetta against the Chimera after his brother becomes infected by the invading alien race and dies.
