TheAnimal Crossing: New Horizons2.0 Update has been released and players have begun to dive into its numerous additions to the game. Players will be able to add a new coffee shop, travel to uninhabited islands on a boat, and decorate in new ways with this update to the 2020 title.
But, while some of these additions are automatically added to a player’s island, others can be a bit harder to find. One of these is the new Pro Decorating License in the game that players have to locate and purchase. What is the Pro Decorating License?
The Pro Decorating License is a new feature in the game that has been added to give players more options when designing. Similar to theBeautiful Island Ordinance inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, this feature focuses on giving players more control over their world. This license lets players access two new interior decorating options: creating accent walls and hanging things from the ceiling.
Accent walls inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsare single walls within a room that have a different wallpaper from the others. Players, after purchasing a Pro Decorating License, can approach any wall in a room and interact with it to bring up this option. As long as they have a wallpaper in their inventory, they can make an accent wall by selecting the ‘Set Accent Wall’ prompt.
Hanging items from the ceiling is a bit more of a challenge. Players have to bring up the room editing option by pressing down on the direction pad. This will show a new option on the (+) button that looks like a hanging light.
Cycling through to it brings up a brand new view of the room, showing the titles on the ceiling where items can now be hung. Unfortunately, only certain items in the game can be displayed like this. Fortunately, sorting through the house’sexpansive storage system inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswhile in this mode does point out applicable items.
How to get a Pro Decorating License
Now that thelatest update has been released forAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, the Pro Decorating License can be found at Resident Services at the Nook Stop Terminal. Players will recognize this as the place where they can explore Nook Shopping options, access their in-game bank account, invite an amiibo camper, and redeem their Nook Miles. And this latter option is how players can get their Pro Decorating License.
Click the ‘Redeem Nook Miles’ option, then make sure to scroll down to the item marked ‘Pro Decorating License.’ This costs 2,500 Nook Miles and will be printed out after a purchase. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to getNook Miles quickly inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfor those who can’t afford this price. Once this is done, players will have access to both of the aforementioned features.
